What I think will be entertaining is te first time Make realizes that:
A) He genuinely likes and appreciates Break. She is good to him and for him.
B) Somebody has just hurt his friend.
Never underestimate the loyalty or courage of a starving dog that you have made prosperous, and I would be willing to say that this is likely to be the emotional equivalent to that.
