Saving the City: Sans-Spandex

No comic this week.  Erika’s dog has gone from getting diagnosed with giant tumor, to emergency surgery where we expected either lose her or have to put her down from cancer, to miraculously coming through and now maybe is going to be okay…in less than 48 hours.  I am physically and emotionally SPENT.

Sounds like a harrowing bit of backstory is coming up.

hey, look, comic

Why do I sense some sort of training montage is in store for the future?

  2. Jerden says:

Aww, even she knows she’s terrible at the superhero business.
But yes, training montage! If you don’t like who you are, YOU BECOME BETTER!

  3. CptNerd says:

Yeah, “be all you can be.” What sucks is when you go through training and everything, and find out that “all you can be” really isn’t all that much.

    Woah, Angst Alert!

  5. Dark Rose says:

Will we learn more about Mack’s brother?

  6. Potatohead says:

Minor issue, but all of the bubbles are missing the pointy arrows that indicate who’s talking. It’s not hard to figure out, but ends up looking like they’re communicating telepathically.

if Mak would let Val work with her she could get good

and i get the feeling that could be the way things go from here

    • Ed Rhodes says:

Yeah, you remember in the “body switch” sequence, Val had figured out ways to use Mack’s powers better than she did.

  8. Doi says:

Val does know Mak’s powers better than she does. We’ve seen how effective Mak’s powers can be, she just needs Val to show her how. 😀

  9. ParanoidSpy says:

Ouch. I don’t know if it’s better or worse that Illumina knows how bad at heroing she is.
