    My sentiments exactly.

Mack lifts them up, and then Val has pinatas!

Ooh, wow. In addition to learning her powers better, She’s gotten a ‘tude, too!

And I like her new mask. Instead of a stick-on domino, it’s a wraparound, that seems to incorporate her hair tie.

I also think that Val is enjoying this a bit.

This whole page just makes me smile with anticipation. Tho, it does say quite a bit about Illumina’s reputation that they run from the *sidekick* and not her.

Just shows they have more brains than Shiver

    So do burnt waffles, dude.

  • Black Rose on March 1, 2017 at 12:41 PM

Does it look like Mack’s going hard core?!?!?

  • Ragingagnostic on March 1, 2017 at 1:00 PM

“Sweetheart”? Oh, he deserves a thumping just for that!

Why do I feel like I’ll love the next panel?

  • T'Renn on March 2, 2017 at 2:13 AM

Because you’re preceptive. I expect that Val is also going to love the next panel, even though I don’t expect Mr. Bat to get any action.

I figure that Val probably has a bucket of popcorn just off panel there, and intends to enjoy this show. For one thing she doesn’t have to worry about Mack engaging in horribly disproportionate retribution, the way a certain ice-hole did.

Also, once she’s made clear Illumina has taken a level or two in badass, I don’t see Mack hogging all the pummeling action. Well, not until the inevitable “Dark Illumina” storyline. 😉

  • Kogarashi on March 2, 2017 at 9:56 PM

But T’Renn, wouldn’t “Dark Illumina” be an oxymoron?

  • T'Renn on March 4, 2017 at 4:07 AM

Kogarashi, just when has little details like “paradox” or “oxymoron” stopped things from happening in comics? 😀

  • Xero on March 6, 2017 at 7:23 AM

Hell paradox is a batman villian as is onomonopiea so oxymoron probably exsists as a charicter in some comic

  • DracoExMachina on March 4, 2017 at 6:26 PM

Just found the comic again recently after a few years, super glad it’s still going. 🙂

This has been a pretty epic turn of events lately.

Now this is looking innnnnteresteeeeeng!Though youd think the random thugs kneejerk reaction to seeing illumina would be “Crap! If shes around the goddamn batgirls about to get us!”.Still a good training wheel experience will be good for Illuminas self esteem and its nice to see that shes now taking the hero dealy a lot more seriously ^^.

Predict her move im gonna guess she either makes em float or pancakes em (not enough to squish em just enough to kiss asphalt)

  • livvy on March 7, 2017 at 7:34 PM

    Coldfire is an oxymoron

  • Zakalwe on December 20, 2021 at 9:33 AM

I’m quite amused by the Batman-level fear the ordinary street criminals have towards Sidekick Girl. They know from either reputation or experience (or both) that she’s a very well trained fighter and nothing can really put her down for good (I don’t think her powers are widely publicised – they just see her back on patrol within days after an injury) so she represents a concrete threat that they can clearly understand – a dangerous fighter that doesn’t give up and is difficult to put down.
