Does this look like something important? It’s probably something important.

Not just like. Eyes are a different color, mouth is fuller, and the eyebrows are different. There does seem to be a similarity, though.

And no tattoos on the arms.

plus you know SHE’S ASIAN! other than the pony tail and uniform color there is NO resemblance
also she looks kinda pissed at side kick girl
Balance on May 15, 2013 at 9:24 AM
Oh dear. It appears Val has been sidekick-napped by the Power Rangers.
Also, I’m getting a “speedster” vibe from the guy in red. It’s probably the hair.
Kaci on May 15, 2013 at 3:50 PM
I was thinking the same thing. Hazel’s brood?
Syncline on May 15, 2013 at 5:27 PM
Huh. I looked at Blondie’s hair and thought ‘Energy projector, maybe fire?’
Center girl seems likely to be a Brick of some sort.
Garter-belt lass has me thinking she’s relater to our heroine too, but she seems very poised, maybe centered, maybe trained, and the Asian angle on her… MArts and near indestructibility would equal a lot of pain for villains…

But one must wonder what Ranger team would dare to have two Red Rangers? Maybe one of them refused to be the pink one.

norman728 on May 15, 2013 at 4:15 PM
I take it you read THE 99?
Lynnster on May 15, 2013 at 9:19 PM
No, actually. I have no idea what that is, though I’ll look it up. I’m just always very excited to see a variety of women portrayed within the superhero genre, especially ones that don’t fit within the accepted norm.
Hugin on May 16, 2013 at 1:47 AM
Read The Posterchildren. It’s an ebook on Smashwords, the protags include a Muslim man, a couple GLBT people, and an overweight female. The world’s Trinity includes a Muslim woman and a genderfluid bi man. If you can think of a minority, they probably have representation.

not the first though X-mens Dust has that honor
David Johnston on May 18, 2013 at 12:32 PM
Iron Butterfly has that “honor”. Dust was an annoying grab bag of cliches anyway.
antlan87 on May 15, 2013 at 4:54 PM
Yeah, don’t see too many of them in Western comics. As far as i can recall, there is Dust from the X-Men comics, and maybe one or two others there as well, but that is it to my knowledge. I am interested in learning who, where, and possibly when our beloved sidekick is.
