Sidekick Girl

Saving the City: Sans-Spandex

We have decided to move to an every other week schedule from now until the end of the year. We’ve been struggling to get back to once a week on time comics with everything that’s been going on, between one or both of us on overtime, the season for our nonprofit ramping up, and general brain fatigue.Β  Because, you know, 2020.

There will be a comic this coming Wednesday (9/30) and then every other week after that, with filler during November as per usual.

Coooon!

I have had that feel at cons.

    That’s adorable.

    Feels!

  • CptNerd on August 3, 2017 at 9:50 PM

Aw, that’s sweet, I like the magic-marker arm “tats”!

    *incoherent squeeing from feels*

Is the bandaid on the elbow part of the cosplay?

  • Mujaki on August 8, 2017 at 1:09 PM

Somehow, I get the feeling that the bandage isn’t for show. She earned that bandage.
(Much to her parents’ dismay, their child does NOT have nigh invulnerability.)

Honestly I’m a bit conflicted about the $15 price now 😐

  • CaptRory on August 7, 2017 at 2:12 PM

I’d hand her the $15 back and tell her to go get us a couple ice creams.

There is no way she is bothering to collect, unless they only collect tickets/vouchers bought elsewhere. I would hope there is an official discount for anyone in a costume or freebies for best costume winners.

I think we can all agree, that girl gets a free autograph……. along with anything else she asks for.

  • tomyironmane on August 6, 2017 at 4:09 PM

I dunno, I get the feeling that if they tried to make her collect now they might have a pissed off Sidekick Girl. I mean seriously, how many fans does she have?

  • Katy on August 4, 2017 at 8:44 AM

<3 to the fan. That's what I wanted to see. πŸ˜€

  • Kaian on August 4, 2017 at 9:36 AM

And another plus to Lumina’s growth for noticing.

  • Ed Rhodes on August 8, 2017 at 9:56 AM

She wears them to the party and on the date. If they’re armbands, they don’t come off at all. Until we see them removed for a shower scene, I’m guessing they’re tats.

  • Livvy on August 9, 2017 at 10:06 AM

They are tats. There’s been a shower scene. And a sleeping in bed next to Isauro scene. And way back before she even went to hero college, she had them, so they aren’t costume parts.

  • Jim on August 4, 2017 at 3:08 PM

Are the bands on her arms tats? loll I always just figured they were armbands…

  • Ed Rhodes on August 8, 2017 at 9:57 AM

My reply to your comment ended up over yours. My bad, sorry.

Wouldn’t it be adorable if she teamed up with Break?

    You just need one….

  • Michael Overton on August 5, 2017 at 8:21 PM

There’s not enough “squee” to express how awesome I think that is. Quality always bests quantity.

  • OtherAnonymous on August 6, 2017 at 11:48 PM

    That is SO FREAKIN’ CUTE

  • Hitokiri Akins on August 7, 2017 at 4:21 PM

I like that little touch on the kid; how Val’s tattoos are done in marker on the kid’s arms. πŸ™‚

  • Jordan on August 7, 2017 at 6:15 PM

This may be the absolute cutest thing that you’ve done thus far. This is amazing πŸ™‚
