I’d love to have her on my arm any evening. How sweet!

    aah getting fancy on us.

Would have liked more of an epilogue for Shiver’s arc, but I’m sure they’ll cover what went down. Pretty cool to see her at an event like this. Either its hosted by the good half of the Association or Val is finally getting noticed for her efforts.

Whoops, failed to read, this is her old college. Derp. XD

Wonder if she’s going to run into that jackass teacher who set her down her Sidekick path. Meeting the assholes of your college years is always awkward.

    Her hair is so pretty!

Love it, I hope they make her a hero.

Huh…she still has those black bands on her arms…actually now that I look through the archive, those black bands arent even part of her costume…so, tattoos maybe? Do we actually know what the deal with those?

Dang, but she cleans up nice

I wonder if Val will start wearing her hair differently in a future comic???
Maybe the same style as Louise Brooks?

I’m getting the distinct vibe that this story takes place in the near future.

@Caf: I’m glad that I’m not the only one who thinks this. I just wish I could pin down my reason for thinking it’s a few years in the future.

Usually people don’t go to reunions just a few years after graduating, although in this case the ball is to celebrate the anniversary of the school, not her graduating class. Note that this means the hero school was founded in 1941 probably in preparation for American entry into the war.

  • Black Rose on September 29, 2016 at 11:02 AM

That must mean Metro City’s heroes were around since 1938.They would form teams in the vein of the Justice Society of America and All-Star Squadron…!

Well, as was mentioned, the idea of a class reunion this soon for one (although we don’t know that that’s what ‘reunion’ stands for, or of the gala is especially for Val’s class)
But mostly Lil’ Ro looks quite a bit older than I remembered.

Love your art, and she is just adorable here.

Nephrite? What’re you doing outside of the Sailor Moon universe?
*waits for someone to get it*

Generally speaking, most folks won’t get that.

  • Kogarashi on October 1, 2016 at 12:33 PM

It’s probably not a class reunion. The banner just says “hero alumni ball,” and it’s the 75th annual one, meaning the school probably just has a yearly ball that all of its graduates, regardless of how long it’s been since they graduated, are invited to. So even if it’s only been one year since graduation, that would still make a person an alum and thus eligible to attend an alumni ball.
