Saving the City: Sans-Spandex

We have decided to move to an every other week schedule from now until the end of the year. We’ve been struggling to get back to once a week on time comics with everything that’s been going on, between one or both of us on overtime, the season for our nonprofit ramping up, and general brain fatigue.  Because, you know, 2020.

There will be a comic this coming Wednesday (9/30) and then every other week after that, with filler during November as per usual.

Funny, first time i read that part years ago it didn’t strike me how STRANGE that sequence can seem – was A KID sent to jail, with adults, simply for developing powers, or did something happen to Jaime when Isauro manifested his powers?

Either way it seems quite overkill and beggars the question of what was going on in the mexican government there.

Considering how those green flames lopped a baseball bat right in half with apparently no effort, I suspect he accidentally either killed or severely injured Jaime, leaning towards killed…looks almost like he might have accidentally decapitated the poor kid. Might be reading too much into it, though…

Yeah, if the powers activate right as he’s giving Jaime the noogie, then Jaime either gets his head cut off or cut in half.

When police can put the label of “criminal” over your head, you entirely cease to be anything else to them. All human rights are abruptly optional and will be set aside if they are inconvenient to making an arrest and conviction.
