  Shiver better hope the damage from that impact is superficial, or he’s going to be in for a lecture about NOT wrecking the property you’re supposed to be recovering.

  Oh jeez… More property damage. I’m guessing that the car is going to be totaled and there’s going to be civil repairs as well with the lamp post being damaged.

  Alright ‘hero’, was there perhaps a way that you could have done less damage to both the car and the city?

  Sure, Ice the intake manifold. Engine stalls. Some piston aircraft had to install special heaters on their intakes to keep this from happening.

  Oh please, by superhero standards that’s the absolute minimum of property damage. At least he didn’t ice-slick the whole street.

  In his defence I cant see the sidekick doing any better in this one,Most cases of gta that actually get caught usually end with at least a little damage to the car assuming the thief isnt smart enough to abandon the vehicle before the stingers come out or the cops get the chance to safely force a spinout.How would Val stop the car?Hit the driver with her bat on foot?

  Hmm yknow now that I think of this Mackenzie’s new powerset is one of the few powersets that weve been shown that could possibly stop the car without doing any damage.

  The car was protected by the ice, but is there enough air in side of the car for the criminal to breath before they can get him out?

  It’s okay, usually ice powers also have the ability to melt ice as quickly as forming it to begin with. Presuming that he wants to melt it quickly. There’s no telling, he could have filled the car with ice just as easily as wrapping the outside, in which case the driver would have asphyxiation, shock from the impact as well as hypothermia to deal with.

  Am I the only one who thought his use of the ice was actually fairly restrained, here?

  If he’d gone flashy he could have laid down a swath of ice leading to the car before freezing it, leaving a potentially dangerous hazard in the middle of the road if he didn’t melt it quickly.

  I know people have been thinking big city = property damage, but maybe he’s actually really good at minimizing his footprint? LA is crowded and, I would imagine, probably full of plenty of people willing to sue if a super accidentally drags them into a collar like this. So a single lamp post and some possible water/impact damage to the car is pretty minimal for a cast of grand theft auto.

  I think the encased car might not be to badly damaged, if the ice is thick enough it could absorb most of the impact. The light-post is an issue, but I’m more worried about the person in the car. The impact could hurt them badly plus who knows what Shiver will do with them. Though I’m hoping that maybe he will be responsible about it, see that the driver/carjacker gets the medical attention he needs.

  I’m just wondering whether he iced the entire car. If he did, then he might have just killed everybody in the car. That’s rather vicious and extreme behavior for mere car theft. Here’s hoping this isn’t another superhero gone psycho.

  I doubt he killed anyone in the car. He is an arrogant asshole, but nothing so far has shown him to be a psychopathic killer “hero” (and I recall that the organization frowns on such things anyhow). Also, I imagine the Hero organization covers this kind of property damage (although they might be a little short on cash given all the buildlings that got collapsed in the previous storyline).

  Well the agency is going to get a bill from the city I see though superhero activities often result in far more damage when fighting supervillains. S

  till why I am I suspecting that the reason he’s out there instead of back in LA because while he really is good he makes all the other heroes and sidekicks want to kill because of his attitude.
