Saving the City: Sans-Spandex

We have decided to move to an every other week schedule from now until the end of the year. We’ve been struggling to get back to once a week on time comics with everything that’s been going on, between one or both of us on overtime, the season for our nonprofit ramping up, and general brain fatigue.  Because, you know, 2020.

There will be a comic this coming Wednesday (9/30) and then every other week after that, with filler during November as per usual.

Fun times at the con!  Erika just got back from gencon and she had just as much fun as those children are having, although not in a flying sort of way.

One of the things I got to do at the con was talk to two of my most admired webcomic peoples, Jennie Breeden of the Devil’s Panties, and Randy Milholland of Something Positive.  If you aren’t familiar with them, you should check them out.  Not only because their comics are excellent, but also because they are both really nice people who are kind and friendly to their fans and very encouraging to other comic artists.  Also, Randy remembers me on the rare occasions that I get to see him, and that makes me feel like a REALLY special person.  I also got to feed them granola cookies, which also makes me super happy, because feeding people is kind of how I do.

I ALSO got to have a nice dinner with reader John!  Hi, John!  He has a secret identity that I cannot reveal, so we will say no more.  🙂

I think Mackenzie is having the most fun out of them all; I mean yeah, the kids are certainly having the time of their lives, but Mack not only has the power to DO things like this with kids, but the control to do so without hurting them!

Has anyone else noticed that Mackenzie has switched back to her “Classic” costume from the start of the comic?

Well, she IS appearing at a convention. Gotta give the fans the “classic” costume. Now once the new costume has got some more news coverage, she can mix it up at will.
