Sidekick Girl

Saving the City: Sans-Spandex

It's fine. Just fine. No way this can possibly end poorly.

Totes not fanservice with the shirtlessness.  >:)

Yayyyyy! Update is greatly appreciated! Both of you are amazing!

Aw…no awesome half vampire powers? That really bites. Though Mark isn’t being very convincing. I kind of wonder if it is necessary for Isauro to be shirtless, but it is nice fanservice~

I find it entirely necessary. Laura, do you find it necessary?

I’m gone for a couple months and Isauro gets bitten by a vampire. Nice, this is what I get for having too many webcomics bookmarked…

  • Laura on November 14, 2014 at 3:28 AM

    Yes. Completely necessary.

  • Sidekickgirl on November 14, 2014 at 4:29 AM

    That settles it. Definitely necessary.

Salt is good sign. If you were in DEEP do-do they’d break out the powdered Communion wafers like in Dracula.

I’m guessing that the shirtlessness is because a shirt collar would cover up the bite. As for what they’re doing with the salt… No clue.

Warded circle is my guess. Keep out other malign influences while they get rid of the malign influence of the vamp.

BTW, kosher salt may work better, but I’ve heard Morton’s(tm) will do in a pinch. ^_^

Ding Ding Ding! Winner! Generally in folklore, Things cannot cross a line of salt. Ghosts, Faeries, Demons, whatevs. The kosher is largely a joke, but it would be used because it’s very pure, containing no iodine like table salt. Also, better for cooking with!

  • Mujaki on November 16, 2014 at 8:36 AM

Maybe better for cooking with, but iodine is still a necessary micro-nutrient. Thankfully it can be found in seafood.

    No “Twilight-like sparkle half-vampire”, please! é_è

  • Succorelle on November 18, 2014 at 4:23 PM

Oh my god, please let the rest of the comic be these three’s adorable misadventures. This is most definitely my favorite page ever. <3

She’s at least going to make it onto the cast page. Normally we wouldn’t do that for side appearances like this, but we both ADORE her.

Not to mention that food is heavily fortified with vitamins and minerals. The chances of someone missing out on their iodine by using Kosher salt for cooking is slim to nil.

All salt is kosher. Kosher salt is called that because you need non-iodized salt for pickling. No, I don’t know why coarse pickling salt = kosher salt and I’ve never gotten a good explanation.
